Building for the Future

We currently have one apprentice sheet metal worker, who is being internally trained to work throughout our sheet metal department specialising in the press brake area to compliment this he is working a NVQ level 2 performing manufacturing operations and awards in industrial environment awareness.

DB are strongly committed to training staff for the future to work alongside our experienced employees, we work in partnership with a training company ABA based in Sudbury who assist in finding the right candidate, organise the funding to gain qualifications. The welding department are the next area to consider an apprentice and in the new year a apprentice will be considered for the engineering department.

Along side this we are also working closely with Job Centre plus and recently attended a very successful “Supporting Young Haverhill” launch. We are committed to work trials and work experience, this gives candidates an opportunity to gain some vital work experience, references and a chance to demonstrate to DB what they have to offer, putting them ahead for any vacancies that might arise.
